Presidential hopeful Abduba Dida has insisted that he would be on the ballot paper in the upcoming poll as he refuted claims that he has forged ties with the opposition.
The fire- brand Dida today while scoffing at reports of a union with the National Super Alliance (NASA) , maintained that his axing from the fresh October 26 presidential poll ordered by the Supreme court was unconstitutional.
Dida said he is waiting for the court’s verdict on Ekuru Aukot’s petition challenging IEBC over the fate presidential contenders who have been locked out from participating in the fresh poll on grounds that they were not parties to a petition filed by Raila.
“I will seek other legal avenues even if the court does not overturn my removal from the ballot paper . It is beyond comprehension how the electoral body reached at its verdict to eject us,” he said.
“The law only bars other losers from running if the polls were a run-off. But in this case, the courts were categorical that due to irregularities and illegalities in the polls, the electoral body should conduct a fresh poll,” he added.
Dida further urged IEBC hierarchy to step aside as Kenyans trust in them to conduct credible polls on 0ctober 26 has been eroded.
