The health sector in the country continues to reel under a crisis after Clinical officers and nurses yesterday held a joint protest in solidarity at Uhuru Park to pressurize the county and national governments to resolve their grievances.

As the strike goes on, Kirinyaga County Government has sent packing over 450 striking nurses for failing to honour last week’s Council of Governors directive to resume their duties.
The County Service Board has already advertised the vacant positions a week after they sent show cause letter to striking workers.
