Leaders and residents in Naivasha have called on the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) to put more speed bumps along the Nairobi-Naivasha highway due to the rising number of accidents.
The group from Kinungi, Karai, Ihindu, Kayole and Mithuri areas said innocent Kenyans were losing their lives crossing the busy highway every day.
According to them, over ten people have lost their lives in the last three months alone with most of those killed being middle aged citizens.
This emerged when the leaders joined mourners during the emotional burial of Julius Mwangi, a Nakuru county government official who was a victim of road carnage at Kinungi in the lake side town.
Mwangi was on his way home when a private vehicle hit and killed him on the spot last week.
