Independent presidential candidate Michael Wainaina has applied to be enjoined in the petition challenging President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.
Wainaina, who got 9,257 votes in the August 8 polls, said in an application to the Supreme Court that he will be prejudiced if locked out of the petitin.
He noted, however, that he is not affiliated with any political party.
Last Friday, Thirdway Alliance’s Ekuru Aukot applied to join NASA’s Supreme Court petition.
He said the election was unfair and praised Raila Odinga’s coalition for turning to the Supreme Court with their claim that the election was rigged.
“The election was not free and fair especially on the polls transmission software,” he said during KTN’s Friday morning debate on the election.
Aukot got 27,311 votes and was fifth in the race that attracted eight candidates.
