Kajiado County Governor Joseph Ole Lenku has put on notice corrupt individuals in the revenue department threatening that they will be sacked.
In his first day in office while paying a visit to all departments, Lenku said he is determined to see performance in all the departments and anything less would amount to dismissal.
He said that the collection of taxes across the County must be achieved to raise revenue from 650,000million last year to 1.2billion in the next financial year.
“I want to ensure that the target on revenue collection is the foremost priorities to enable the people of Kajiado get the better services that I promised during my campaigns. Anybody who comes in between residents’ taxes will be fired immediately. I will not accept any comprise whatsoever. I will crack the whip and those who clearly know they have been engaged on revenue corruption matters should start parking,’’said Lenku.
