The multi-million new Naivasha Medical center is set to open its doors by early next year and will have an ICU and dialysis center.
According to the superintendent in charge of Naivasha sub-county hospital Dr Joseph Mburu, the upcoming facility will cost Sh40m when complete.
“The center will also have a modern theatre, orthopedic unit and over 50 medical experts drawn from various departments,” he said.
Speaking in his office on Tuesday, Mburu said the first phase of construction and equipping the facility was already done.
“We are getting the cash from the cost sharing funds for the three floor building and already we have made very good progress in the project,” he said.
The doctor noted that for years, patients seeking services like dialysis and other medical operations had been referred to Rift Valley PGH or KNH due to lack of equipment in Naivasha.
