A Teachers Service Commission (TSC) staff imposter was today arraigned at Milimani Law Courts for allegedly defrauding unsuspecting graduate students over fake jobs promises.
She is accused of defrauding an Education student graduate pretending to be able to connect her to get a slot at the TSC.
While appearing before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Benmark Ekhubi, the suspect, Beatrice Mutua Nzambu denied the claims.
She is said to have obtained Sh350,000 from Faith Mbone pretending she would help her secure a job at TSC.
According to the charge sheet, Mutua on diverse dates between July 9, 2024 and July 10,2024 in Nairobi within Nairobi county, she fraudulently obtained the said monies 350,000 pretending that she would facilitate her employment at the TSC a fact she knew to be false.
The suspect denied the charges with the defense pleading with the court to release her on lenient bond terms saying she does not have any previous criminal record.
She was released on a Sh250,000 bond or an alternative cash bail of Sh150,000.
