Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for foreign and diaspora affairs has urged his fellow Cabinet secretaries and Principal Secretaries to be honorable and diligent in their service to Kenyans and the nation.
“It would be important that as we execute our mandate we exercise extreme humility, and integrity and acknowledge that the focus must be on performance and delivery”. Mudavadi said.
Mudavadi remarked that the presence of parliamentarians during the signing is important and sends a message of viciousness when executing the mandate of executive oversight.
The Prime CS was addressing heads of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies after signing performance contracts for the Ministries of foreign and diaspora affairs, Interior, and National Administration, and the Ministry of Gender, Culture, the Arts, and Heritage
The ministerial performance contract signing exercise is an annual event and was witnessed by President William Ruto and Deputy President Kithure Kindiki at Statehouse Nairobi.
The contract is an agreement between the president and the Cabinet secretaries that clearly specifies their mutual performance obligations, intentions, and responsibilities.
