The four suspects who were arrested at the gate leading to the house of Jimmy Wanjigi have finally been charged with the offence of being in possession of firearms.
The accused; Duncan Otieno, Calvin Odongo, Kennedy Asewe, and Josiah Otimo were arraigned before the Milimani court, where they denied three counts of being in possession of explosives and firearms.
The prosecution told the court that the accused were arrested on August 8, 2024 at the main gate of Wanjigi’s posh residence in Nairobi’s Muthaiga area.
They fappeared before the Chief Magistrate Bernard Ochoi on August 8, 2024 but police sought 14 days custodial, but instead, they were granted seven days
They, however, denied the charges levelled against them.
They were ordered to deposit a Sh100,000 each to secure their release pending trial.
The court gave them the alternative bond of Sh300,000 each and directed the matter to be mentioned on September 4, 2024 for pre- trial.
