The Kenya Association of Manufacturers’ Chief Operating Officer Tobias Olando will be the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
This is after KAM announced the stepping down of Anthony Mwangi, who has served as the CEO.
Mwangi served for the last 2 years, has stepping down.
“Tobias Alando the Chief Operating Officer will assume the role of Acting CEO while the Board of Directors initiate and progress the process of recruiting a new CEO. We are confident that under Alando’s interim leadership.” KAM Chairperson Jane Karuku said in a statement.
The Association extended gratitude to Mwangi for his dedicated service and significant contributions to the KAM and the manufacturing sector during his tenure.
Since joining KAM as the CEO, Anthony has been instrumental in driving the Association’s advocacy initiatives towards realizing the Manufacturing 2030 Strategy. Under his leadership, the Association has continued to position itself as a thought leader in manufacturing.
KAM chair called for support to the acting CEO during period of transition.
