The Co-operative Bank is taking part in the 2024 Nakuru ASK Show which kicked-off yesterday and is slated to run until July 7, 2024.
The bank as among the key exhibitors showcasing technological innovations jointly developed with other partners.
“We will be happy to share with you the tech innovations we’ve developed with partners to make the agriculture value chain more effective and ensure that farmers get the maximum value from their hard work.” The bank through its X official handle.
The show was officially opened by Hon. Mithika Linturi, EGH, Cabinet Secretary(CS), The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development representing the President.
The theme of this year’s Nakuru ASK Show is dubbed ‘Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth’ and it aimed at addressing current challenges while initiating sustainable solutions for the future.
While reading the President’s speech, the CS underscored the government’s commitment to enhancing crop and livestock production, value addition to produce, promoting technology, and ensuring sustainable land use.
This has led to a 43 per cent food production increase leading to lower food prices.
