Matatu sacco Nicco Movers Limited has acquired a fleet of 30 brand new buses in a new financing deal by Cooperative Bank of Kenya that will greatly improve their transport business and increase their capacity.
Recently, the sacco received a second batch of eight buses of the 30 acquired through Co-op Bank enabled financing deal.
The handover was witnessed by a team from Co-op Bank led by the Head of Transport and Investment Cooperatives Alex Mwanthi and Kanyua Muriuki, Branch Manager Ridgeways Branch.
Co-op Bank has invested more than Sh10billion in the last few years to finance over 2,000 matatus to PSV Saccos and companies through leasing and direct hire purchase arrangements
