President William Ruto has today revealed that he first knew he was going to lead Kenya eighteen years ago in 2006 while attending a revival prayer session in the United States of America (USA).
Speaking this evening at the Benny Hinn-Mega crusade held at the Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, president Ruto said he received the revelation then during the Asuza 100 celebration of revival in the US.
“I will say this today here in Nyayo Stadium. That the first time I got a revelation that I was going to be President in Kenya is in 2006 and during the Asuza 100 Celebration of Revival in the US and I was there with my wife and many others.” The president told the crowd
“I couldn’t believe that the son from Sugoi will one day be the president of Kenya.” He added.
The president said he was certain that God would yet again favour Kenya with another revelation and revival, to help make it a great nation globally.
“I can already see a great country in Kenya going into the future. And it is because we believe in the Living God.” He added.
At the same time, he revealed that he had held a meeting with the US Ambassador who informed him that President Joe Biden had invited him for a state visit.
“She came to tell me what you already know the President of the US has invited the President of Kenya for a state visit, one of a kind. In 20 years, no African president has had a state visit in the US.” he said.
Before leaving the podium, he encouraged congregants with the Scriptures from Deuteronomy 15:6.
It reads: “For the Lord your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.”
Ruto arrived at the Nyayo Stadium quarter to 6 pm donning a white Kaunda suit, joining other leaders and Kenyans at the crusade.
Welcoming him, the preacher of the day challenged Kenyans to make a shout of joy to God.
This is after they celebrated Ruto’s arrival.
“Don’t miss out on making a good shout unto the Lord.” He added.
The preacher went on to acknowledge the wonder of having a God-fearing president.
“These are wonders where you have a President, Holy Ghost filled, full of fire. I can tell you what God is doing in this nation, has never happened in the history of nations.” He said.
Moments later, at the podium, Ruto led the congregation in the hymn “Bwana U Sehemu Yangu.”
Hinn arrived in the country on Saturday for a two-day Mega Crusade.
Also in attendance were Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto and Second Lady Dorcas Rigathi.
yesterday, along with Mama Rachel were government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura and Reverend Kathy Kiuna.
Others were Nairobi Woman Rep Esther Passaris, New Life Prayer Centre and Church Leader Apostle Ezekiel Odero and Pastor Pius Muiru.
