President William Ruto is this morning chairing a pioneer cabinet meeting at Kisumu State Lodge after his four-days development tour in the larger Nyanza region.
The first-ever meeting in the lakeside city is happening a month after a similar one in Kakamega county, in Western.
The president is also expected to assent to the controversial Privatisation Bill and later launch the MV Uhuru II, a ship that will operate on Lake Victoria and enhance transport and trade in the region.
During the four-days tour, president Ruto has launched various development projects in Kisumu, Homa Bay, Siaya and Migori counties.
Later this afternoon, the president is expected to commission the construction of the Bondo-Liunda Road, Bondo constituency.
