The slain Kenya Revenue Authority lawyer Jared Ratemo was tortured and injected with an unknown substance before being killed.
An autopsy conducted On Friday showed the victims whose body was found dumped on Mombasa Road, Nairobi on Tuesday also indicated that he was strangled after being tortured by his abductors.
There were also indications that Ratemo suffered several injuries inflicted with a blunt object on the head, face and other parts of the body.
The report also shows that the lawyer’s genitals were crushed and his neck had injuries, suggesting that he was strangled.
Specimens collected during the post-mortem have been taken to the Government Chemist for forensic toxicology.
Ratemo, 35, a supervisor with the taxman was abducted and strangled before his body was dumped off Mombasa Road, Nairobi.
On Thursday, Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko ordered the Directorate of Criminal Investigations director Ndegwa Muhoro to investigate the killing.
