Four police officers attacjed to the notorious Kamukunji Police Station in Nairobi infamously known for graft claims have been arrested for allegedly stealing Sh373,000 from a businessman at Nyamakima, Nairobi.
According to a preliminary police report, the four law enforcement officers turned gangsters are said to have arrested William Toyoyo, a livestock trader as he headed to board a Narok bound Matatu yesterday afternoon.
They accused him of loitering.
According to an investigation report seen by The Informer Media Group, the officer took the victim to a deserted lane before robbing him.
Toyoyo detectives at Central Police Station in Nairobi that the money was from proceeds of the meat of twelve cows he sold at Burma market in Nairobi.
He then reported the matter to Kamukunji Police Station where senior officers summoned the four who were on patrol in the area when the incident happened.
The businessman was able to identify one of the officers who eventually gave the identity of his colleagues.
The officers were immediately disarmed and are under police custody at the Kamukunji Police Station for further investigations.
