Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has accused the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga of allegedly derailing elections so as to “get power through the back door.”
He said that the filing of numerous court case against the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) by Nasa was aimed at ensuring no polls are held so as to force formation of a care taker government.
Kuria accompanied by a host of Jubilee leaders from Mombasa said the opposition leader’s hue and cry over the elections was an indication of Nasa’s unpreparedness for the polls.
The MP said Jubilee has the numbers to win the elections and therefore claims of plans to rig were unfounded.
“Why is Raila Odinga complaining all the time, he has been complaining of vote rigging. We know he is not prepared to face Jubilee because he knows he will lose. We want to tell him that Jubilee and Kenyans are prepared to re-elect President Uhuru Kenyatta,” said Kuria.
Kuria accompanied by Mombasa gubernatorial candidate for Jubilee party Suleiman Shahbal and his senatorial counterpart Hezel Katana also scoffed at governor Hassan Joho accusing of engaging in political “chest thumbing yet he had nothing to show for the four years tenure.
