Two Wiper Party senators have criticised  Mombasa governor Hassan Joho and asked residents to reject him at the ballot because he is “a failure”.

Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior and his Mombasa counterpart Hassan Omar said Joho was only riding on Raila Odinga’s influence yet he had nothing to show in his four years tenure as Mombasa governor.

The two leaders accused Joho of undermining other Nasa affiliate parties by his continued push for a six piece voting pattern in Mombasa.

They urged the Kamba community in Mombasa to overwhelmingly vote for the National super alliance in the August polls.

The two Wiper democratic party leaders while dressing a political rally at Chaani grounds in Changamwe, Mombasa urged the community which commands a significant voting bloc in Mombasa not to be swayed away by Jubilee and instead vote for Nasa candidates.

Kilonzo said Wiper commands a huge support in the county and therefore it should clinch majority of seats in Mombasa.

“The coast region and especially Mombasa, we should ensure most of the seats are captured by Wiper party, since the party has supported an ODM candidate for the top seat, then Mombasa should vote for a Wiper gubernatorial candidate,” said Kilonzo.

Omar said the outfit has acknowledged there is governors who are failures in the outfit and therefore they should not be allowed to continue looting public funds.
