Parminder Singh Manku, a Nairobi based businessman was yesterday charged for stealing Sh71.5million from Elite Earth Movers Limited where he was a co-director.
Appearing before the Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Robinson Ondiek, Manku and denied all the three charges levelled against him.
He was charged with three offenses of alleged theft, forgery and fraud in a company where he was a co-director.
The court heard that on the diverse dates between August 5, 2021 and October 23, 2021 in Westlands, Nairobi being a director of Elite Earth Movers Limited, Manku stole Sh71.5million, the property of the company which came into his possession by virtue of being the director in the company.
The accused was ordered to deposit his passport and provided two contact persons in case he goes missing.
He was released on a bond of Sh3million or alternatively pay a cash bail of Sh1million.
The court ordered the accused to be supplied with the necessary documents pending trial and set the hearing for May 11, 2023.
The pre-trial was set for March 23, 2023.
