Police imposter aged 33 arrested in Kasarani, Nairobi extorting bribes from business operators
Police in Kasarani Police Station in Nairobi are holding a 33 years old police imposter arrested extorting bribes from business operators masquerading as the Officer-In-Charge (OC) Crime within the police command.
James Obwangi Nyakundi aged 33 years was nabbed following a tip off by business operators in the area to police on patrol.
He was targeting bars and wines and spirits outlets which are prone to police extortion.
“We have the suspect in custody. He is undergoing pre-charge processing before being arraigned to face the necessary charges including Personation contrary to Section 382 of the Penal Code.” A senior officer told The Informer.
Kasarani Sub County Police is notorious with cases of police extortion targeting entertainment joints in the area.
