Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery on Tuesday declared June 26 a public holiday to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadhan.
Nkaissery said the holiday will honour Muslim brothers and sisters who will celebrate Idd ul Fitr.
“[The big celebration will mark] the end of Ramadhan,” he noted in a gazette notice, adding the period of fasting is expected to end on Monday.
