President William Ruto has today made 51 nominations to the ranks of Principal Secretaries to various State Departments.
Through a statement by the Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, Felix Koskei stated that the nominations were made following the recommendation of the Public Service Commission (PSC).
“It is notified that His Excellency William Samoei Ruto, PHD, CGH following the recommendation of the Public Service Commission, has on this second day of November, 2022 caused nominations to the ranks of Principal Secretaries” reads the statement.
The nominations have been forwarded to the National Assembly for approval.
“The Presidential Action is pursuant to Article 155 (3)(a) of the Constitution. By dint of the Executive Action, the nominations have been transmitted to the National Assembly for the consideration and approval by Parliament in accordance with the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act (No. 33 of 2011),” it adds.
Most notable nominees include those who lost during the August 9 elections including Nixon Korir, Jonathan Mueke, Alex Wachira and Beatrice Inyangala and Dr. Edward Kisiang’ani.
