The death toll of the seven storey building that collapsed in Embakasi is feared to haven risen as search and rescue efforts entered day two with two people, a mother and son having succumbed after being rescued.
The situation has been further aggravated by a simmering humanitarian crisis since over 130 people evacuated lack food and other social amenities.
Also two sisters, Peris Khisa and Cyril Khisa aged five and six years respectively are admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital in stable condition.
