The Raila Odinga’s led Azimio One Kenya Coalition has unveiled the Senate and National Assembly leadership positions.
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, a principal in the coalition, unveiled the list in a press conference at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Memorial at Upper Hill, Nairobi.
At the National Assembly, Kalonzo announced that they have settled on Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi as the minority leader.
According to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party, Kathiani MP Robert Mbui of the Wiper Democratic Movement Party will be Wandayi’s Deputy Majority Leader in the National Assembly.
During a retreat led by Azimio leader Raila Odinga on Saturday, September 17, it was also agreed that Suna East MP Junet Mohamed will be the coalition’s Majority Whip.
Junet will be deputized by Nominated MP Sabina Chege of Jubilee Party.
In the Senate, Kilifi Senator Stewart Madzayo of ODM will be the Minority Leader, to be deputised by Kitui Senator Enock Wambua of Wiper Party.
Isiolo Senator Fatuma Dulo will be the Minority Whip in the Senate, deputized by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.
