The Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) has launched the Tusker Oktobafest set to take place throughout the month of October at various locations around the country.
Speaking during the launch event yesterday in Nairobi, EABL Marketing and Innovation Director Anne-Joy Michira noted that this year they are expecting over 30,000 people at beer extravagaza.
“Through the event, we will also be seeking to celebrate our great Kenyan vibe and twist by promoting our local artists, DJs, and MCs. We, therefore, invite all our consumers to enjoy the greatest beer celebration this October,” she said
The annual Tusker event is scheduled to take place in Tamasha, Eldoret (October 8th – 9th), Jamii Executive Gardens, Mwea (October 15th – 16th), and finale event at the Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi (October 28th – 30th).
This will offer revellers across these regions a chance to celebrate Kenyan authenticity, by bringing to life Kenyan culture through beer, entertainment, food, and music.
These events will also have live entertainment stages, gaming centres, sports contests, above and beyond the unique beer experiences that will see the full KBL beer portfolio on full display during the October Sherehe.
Among the artists on show will include; Khaligraph Jones, Mejja, Nadia Mukami among others. The events will also be graced by next generation of Kenyan musicians, the Tusker Nexters competition finalists who will have an opportunity to showcase their talents on the national platform.
This year’s edition will be slightly different from the 2021 edition which was dubbed a Festival Deconstructed due to the new normal conditions brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions that limited the number of people in attendance.
According to KBL this year’s edition will be a mix of both 2019 and 2021 editions that will represent an elevated Oktobafest experience for all fans the show attracted over 15,000 revellers in 2019.
