Kiambu Jubilee Party gubernatorial candidate Ferdinand Waititu has described the incumbent William Kabogo as a crafty politician and cautioned his supporters against voting for the incumbent.
He said that he and his United for Kiambu team comprising his deputy James Nyoro and David Gakuyo besides John Mugwe and Aquiline Njoki were taking governor Kabogo for granted and hence are working over drive to ensure that they will beat him hands down during the August 8 polls.
Waititu who is also the Kabete Member of Parliament said that Kabogo who is defending his seat as an independent candidate was burning the mid night oil to retain the seat despite massively losing to him during the nominations.
The nominee garnered 353, 604 votes against Kabogo’s 69,916 votes during the nominations and even though the incumbent gracefully conceded defeat and wished Waititu well after asserting that governorship was not his life, Kabogo has seemingly reinvented and repackaged himself with sources saying that he has sworn to do everything possible to retain the seat.
