Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria has been summoned by the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti over an alarming social media post insinuating impending electoral irregularities ahead of tomorrow’s polls.
According to the DCI, they have noted with concern his allegation and would want him to service them with information regarding the matter.
“The attention of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations has been drawn to a sensational social media post attributed to Gatundu South MP Hon. Moses Kuria, insinuating very serious allegations in respect to election offences,” DCI said.
In a series of social media posts on his platforms, the outspoken legislator claimed that the State was planning to manipulate the long-awaited General Election.
The lawmaker alleged that 40 trucks carrying marked ballot papers would be dispatched to different locations from Nakuru State Lodge ahead of the polls tomorrow.
“Uasin Gishu people. One of the vehicles to leave State House Nakuru for Eldoret with marked ballots is KCW 853T,” claimed Kuria on his Facebook page.
“The Directorate is urging the legislator to urgently report to any police station or DCI office close to him, to help with investigations for appropriate and immediate action,” stated DCI.
