Kitui governor Julius Malombe has told senators David Musila and Johnson Muthama to stop antagonizing Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and instead solve their political woes.
He said the exit of the duo from the party has little effect as it has gained enormous support even after they parted ways with the party leadership. ”
Things cannot always go you way and if the two leaders left the party because their interests were not met, they should know that with or without them, the party will remain strong”, he told Kitui county parliamentary and county assembly wiper nominees at Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI).
The Governor who is facing stiff challenge from Musila and former cabinet secretary Charity Ngilu told Musila to desist from drawing Kalonzo into Kitui politics just because he lost the primaries. ”
Musila should face me in the ballot and stop crying wolf dragging names of other people to his diminishing political career. He has outlived his usefulness in politics and the honorable thing to do is to retire voluntarily from active politics”, said Malombe.
He said it is wrong for the two senators to create impression that without them there will be no Wiper due to narration from some quarters that they have been banking rolling the party and that they are the owners. ”
You cannot say that two or three people owns the party yet members are the bonafide owners of any company being key partners”, he noted adding that the rebels will be shocked when the party clinches majority seats in August elections.
The governor however appealed to Wiper members to boost the party financially asserting that as partners they should be ready to contribute towards its economic growth.
