Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua has officially named her running mate as she laid ground for a titanic battle for Kirinyaga County gubernatorial seat.
Karua named Kirinyaga central MP Joseph Gitari as her running mate in colorful meeting attended by over seven hundreds of their supporters at Sagana town.
She is expected to battle it with former devolution cabinet secretary Ann Waiguru who was nominated as Jubilee party nominee for the position of the governor. Karua termed Gitari as the best option to deputize her as they seek for the votes to become Kirinyaga Governor.
The pairing of the two seasoned politicians has tremendously changed the ground with the position becoming one of the most contested in the county.
Speaking during the faction, Karua termed Jubilee nominee as a failure and urged the residents no to be swayed with money to vote incompetent and corrupt person.
She also pointed that Narc-Kenya and Jubilee party has entered pact where the flower party will produce a governor while Jubilee produce deputy governor in a special arrangement which according to Karua has been approved by President and his deputy.
