Two National Super Alliance [NASA] gubernatorial aspirants from western Kenya have asked their presidential candidate Raila Odinga to keep off politics of their areas of jurisdiction.
Busia governor aspirant Paul Otuoma and Kakamega senator Bonni Khalwale said Raila should not support any candidate but leave it out for themselves to battle out.
Otuoma who is also the Funyula MP said he was rigged out by ODM in favour of Sospeter Ojamong and that was why he was contesting for the seat as an Independent candidate.
Speaking in Tongeren constituency during the burial of the area MP Eseli Simiyu’s mother Rebbeca Nasimiyu, the two said Raila and other Nasa principals should not campaign for their party gubernatoral candidates in Busia and Kakamega counties.
”We shall support you for your presidential bid but we don’t want you to campaign for people who were rejected by their electorates and instead rigged themselves in” Otuoma told Raila who was present.
Otuoma said there was no way Busia people will be imposed on a leader but they will choose their governor without being coerced to do so.
Khalwale said both Raila and Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetng’ula should not campaign for their candidates in Kakamega but instead they shoulld focus on woeing presidential votes and other seats.
”Am the deputy party leader of Wetang’ula the way Kakamega governor Wycliffe Opranya is the deputy party leader of Raila,so in this case no body should campaign for his deputy leave it to two of us” said Khalwale.
The senator sweared that come August the Kakamega county will have a senator from Nasa party and not from ODM but Ford Kenya”
”Am swearing before God come August 8th I would have send Oparanya home because there is no way he can defeat me” sweared Khalwale.
Khalwale appealed to Bungoma people to vote for Raila claiming that Jubilee governmnrt had failed Kenyans.
