The Molo Kikuyu-Kalenjin Council of Elders have vowed to only support and back nominees who were elected through the Jubilee party during the recent Jubilee primaries.
The elders declared that they cannot support any other candidate vying for a seat using another party even those going as independent candidates saying they are enemies of the Government.
Mr Julius Koskei who is the Secretary General of the Molo Kikuyu–Kalenjin Council of Elders said they will join hands with the Jubilee nominees in order to ensure that they win during the August polls.
‘We are also supporting the Jubilee Government led by Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto, ‘ he said.
He added that they will ensure that the leaders elected in August will be accountable and that they push for equitable sharing of resources.
The Chairman of the group Mr David Gachuki echoed the same sentiments saying they will back the jubilee nominees in order to make the Jubilee Government strong.
Mr Charles Mbugua shunned leaders who misuse the youth during electioneering period.
‘We are urging the youth not to be used by politicians hence they should maintain peace and should not bring chaos, ‘ he said.
Mr John Waweru who is the group’s coordinator asked politicians not to buy youth alcohol to bring chaos during the electioneering period.
