Flight disruption at Wilson Airport due to ongoing military operation
The flight schedule at Wilson airport will be disrupted today until 5 pm due to the ongoing military operation at Langata Barracks.
This is after Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) announced the suspension of domestic flights in and out of Wilson Airport.
A number of flights, particularly those utilised by tourists visiting various parts of the country, have been impacted by the suspension.
Wilson Airport serves as a major hub for light aircraft operating between Kenya and its neighbours. It is one of Africa’s busiest light aircraft airports.
The airport handles both domestic and foreign passengers and it is primarily utilised for general aviation traffic.
