Recovering Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses (MP) was today seen in a jovial mood after months of hospitalisation at the Middle East country after he posted photos engaging with members of the Kenya’s delegation on the sidelines of the Gulf Cooperation Council-Kenya Business Forum.
In the latest photo, Kuria is seen alongside Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe and separately with Raila’s son, Raila Junior.
Kuria is expected back in the country on Saturday and later attend a thanksgiving ceremony-cum political rally at Thika Stadium.
Among the attendees expected to grace the occasion of the Chama Cha Kazi party leader is Deputy President William Ruto now championing the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), an affiliate party of the Kenya Kwanza Coalition.
Kuria also invited Raila Odinga of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) who’s championing Azimio La Umoja Movement backed by President Uhuru Kenyatta’s led Jubilee Party.
Kuria has been undergoing treatment in Dubai after sustaining third-degree burns on his feet following the malfunctioning of a warm mat gadget.
The second term legislator has left political pundits guessing after he recently shared photos with Deputy President William Ruto who had visited him in his hospital bed in Dubai. The DP was on a private tour in Dubai.
Kuria left his beloved ruling Jubilee Party in 2019 and formed the People Empowerment Party which he was kicked out of in 2021.
Kuria has indicated that CCK will be fielding candidates in all positions, except the presidency, and he is confident to bag a number of seats particularly in the Central Kenya region where he commands a significant following.
“We are out to give the youth a say in the management of the country’s resources and that is why CCK has embraced young people including women,” Kuria said.
President Kenyatta left Nairobi yesterday evening for a three-day trip to Dubai where he will hold high-level and bilateral meetings with officials from the United Arab Emirates.
Kenya’s Ambassador to the UAE Kariuki Mugwe indicated that Kenyatta will preside over the Kenya national day at the Expo 2020 Dubai.
Ambassador Mugwe said the President will officially open the high-level Kenya-UAE business forum and later have bilateral engagements with the UAE leadership.
“The purpose of the President coming here is to showcase business and investment opportunities that are available in Kenya. And there are quite a number of them mostly in the investment areas.
“Those opportunities need to be made known not only to the UAE investors but also other investors in the world, we have actually invited a number of them among the 192 countries participating in the Expo 2020 Dubai,” Mugwe said.
