Cabinet secretary of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs, Sicily Kariuki has rubbished claims that members of the Cabinet are engaged in active politics.
She said they are going round the country espouse the government’s achievements.
She, however, asked Kenyans to support the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure he completes the projects he launched.
“There is still so much that needs to be done on roads, water and the two thirds gender issue. We will be able to complete the vision and intervention we have started as jubilee if anther chances is given to President Uhuru Kenyatta,” she said.
Speaking in Kwale where she launched NYS cohort programme for Kinango and Matuga sub-counties, Kariuki maintained that the CSs are only enlightening citizens on the government’s development projects .
“And in any case the constitution does not bar me from expressing my opinion on the marvelous and good work that the government,” she said.
Kairuki said individuals claiming that Jubilee has not implemented development projects are only propagating propaganda.
She asked politicians to keep off politics in the NYS programme.
The CS took issue with MPs for failing to pass the Gender Bill and urged them to pass it since it is a constitutional requirement.
