Taita Taveta MP Naomi Shaban has returned to Jubilee three days after she jumped ship citing frustrations.
She will now participate in the countrywide party primaries slated for Friday, where she will square it out with his recent political nemesis Mike Banton for the parliamentary seat.
The staunch Jubilee supporters shocked her supporters when she announced her exit from the party.
It seems, however, east, west home is best after the outspoken coast politician made a U-turn back to back to Jubilee.
Noami had in a letter to Jubilee secretary general Raphael Tuju cited unavoidable circumstances as the reason for her quitting.
“I wish to resign from Jubilee Party. I will no longer be vying for the Taita constituency seat under the JP umbrella,” she said in the letter dated April 8.
She alleged a plot to rig her out in the Jubilee primaries this Friday.
Naomi claimed that some individuals within the party planned to elbow her pout through the nominations.
“I have quit Jubilee Party because of one reason; there is a plot to rig me out in the primaries. If you look at IEBC’s list of aspirants there is a Naomi in the list,” she said.
She had contemplated defending her seat on an independent ticket, something that didn’t augur well with close allies of President Uhuru Kenyatta who see her as a key point person in the Coast.
Her return to Jubilee is important given the political clout she commands in Taita Taveta, perceived an opposition zone.
