The National Elections Board of the ODM has nullified the results of the Busia nomination for the seat of Governor following – what the body terms – “major irregularities in the results”.
In a statement to newsroom by ODM National Elections Board Chairperson, Judith Pareno, the Board said it has “has made a decision to nullify the Busia gubernatorial nomination results and ordered a repeat exercise on Tuesday 25th April 2017.”
Governor Ojaamong had been controversially declared the winner of the party primaries after garnering 92,358 votes against his closest rival, Funyula Member of Parliament, Paul Otuoma’s 63,752.
