Ofafa Jericho High School has been closed following a fire incident that occurred yesterday night that left several students injured.
More than thirty students were admitted in hospital after smoke inhalation as they tried to put out the fire.
According to St Johns Ambulance, about fifty students were evacuated to Metropolitan Hospital in Buruburu.
Out of those some were moved to Avenue Hospital, others to Meridian Hospital while others who had been rushed to Jericho Hospital were transferred to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital.
Police officers have are probing the cause of the fire.
Form Fours will return to the school on Friday, while students in Form One, Form Two and Form Three will return back on Monday.
Meanwhile, Sigalame High School in Funyula, Busia Countyhas also been closed indefinitely after a fire incident yesterday night.
In Sigalame High School, a fire razed one of the dormitories.
Samia sub-county Director of Education Dominic Opee said the students will remain home until investigations into the cause of the fire are concluded.
