Director of Criminal Investigations Ndegwa Muhoro has denied any link to the alleged plot to assassinate lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi and termed his utterances an attempt to regain “his fast fading ego”.
Muhoro referred the allegations by Ahmednasir as a desperate attempt to interfere with ongoing investigations being conducted on the lawyer over complaints made against him as a person.
“It is very unfortunate that I have to waste valuable time to respond to allegations leveled against me by one Ahmednasir who portrays himself on the outside as Angel Gabriel, yet in reality he is devious and behind-the-scenes activities he is involved in would make Lucifer appear like an amateur,” the DCI boss said.
In a press statement sent to newsrooms, Muhoro indicated that the probe against Ahmednassir ranges from fraudulent activities he has been engaged in as a lawyer to questionable and/or forged academic qualifications relating to his pupilage.
“It is, therefore, not lost on all and sundry that his modus operandi is to throw all manner of tantrums and wild allegations against my person and office in order to distract and divert attention from himself,” Muhoro added.
“I wish to assure him that I will never succumb to such archaic and primitive maneuvers even if he were to compose a chorus on the same to be sung at every turn,” he said.
Muhoro, who termed the allegations “hollow, gibberish, malicious, devoid of any substance and civility” also threatened to take legal action against the lawyer.
