A 50-year-old man has died inside a hotel room after using Viagra in Murang’a county.
According to preliminary report, Frederick Opiyo allegedly died moments after he emerged from the bathroom.
Opiyo is said to have booked the room around 9 p.m on Monday before being joined by Mary Mwende, 35 who joined him later at around 10pm.
Before retiring to their room, the two took supper together, fish and ugali.
“While taking a bath, Mwende heard the man groaning. She came out of the bathroom and found the man having removed his clothes and was struggling to breathe,” police report said.
Mwende informed the guard that her boyfriend had died prompting the guard to alert the police.
Police recovered one used and unused condom and one packet of Viagra.
The body was moved to Murang’a Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue awaiting postmortem.
Officers from Maragua Police Station are currently investigating the matter.
