Traders in Kisii town central business district are counting losses after fire gutted down a chain of stalls leaving tens of traders with tears.
Traders among them who had just settled in the area along Mwembe in Kisii- Kilgoris road with new stock accused the county government of Kisii of not moving with speed to help them in the morning inferno.
Abuki Omboto the owner of the stalls said that the county fire department came without water hours after the fire that razed business just 100 meters from the Kisii county governor James Ongwae’s office where the fire engine operates from.
Another trader Dickson Angwenyi with his colleagues also blamed the fire department saying it is of no meaning to residents who pays them a lot of tax.
