President Uhuru Kenyatta has today dismissed claim by CORD leader Raila Ondinga that the government plan to rig the General election.
President Kenyatta speaking at Kerugoay town said that opposition leaders are making wild and absurd claims because he have sensed defeat. The President said the opposition leader is plotting to cause chaos if he loses elections a move he warned he wount condone.
“These claims he is making that we are registering foreigners are just a ploy to cause chaos and reject results if he loses elections. Let us send him home by 6am (in the August elections),” he told residents in Kerugoya town, Kirinyaga County.
Uhuru condemned CORD leader and told him to stop sensational claims which may bludge the country into chaos. He added that Kenyans are the ones registering and claims that the government is registering Ugandans and Ethiopia’s citizens as ridiculous and should be ignored.
The President who was accompanied by local leaders urged resident to register in big number and send clear message to opposition leader that he will be defeated by 8.00 am in the morning.
He said that people should register in big number and vote their preferred candidate who will steer the country to a greater height. ‘
’I want to you to register in big number so that you can elect a good leader who will bring development, as a government we have given a lot of money to counties for development its now your responsibility to elect credible leaders not those who will plunder your money’’.
He said. Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua also joined the President entourage but no local leader was allowed to addresses roadside public meetings. The President toured Nguruibani,Makutano,Sagana Kagio Baricho Kutus,Kerugoya,Kagumo and Kibirigwi.
