Man charged with stealing Sh770,000 from Wajir South MP

A man has been charged today at Milimani law courts for stealing ksh 770,000 from Member of Parliament for Wajir South Mohamud Sheikh Mohamed.

Felix Otieno Obuya was charged with 3 counts of stealing by way of falsely pretending he was in a position to sell the MP a motor vehicle.

According to the court, Obuya presented himself to the legislator as an employee of Kenya Bureau of Standards on various dates between 19th March and 20th April this year.

He was released on a cash bail of Ksh700,000 or alternative bond of Ksh1 million.

Still at Milimani Law Courts, a man was charged with theft of medicines from Kenyatta National Hospital.

Calvin Gideon Omondi Omollo was charged before senior resident magistrate Caroline Muthoni Njagi with 2 counts of stealing 21 pieces of Recormon medicine at KNH and forging staff employee identification card.

He was released on a cash bail of Ksh100,000.
