A family in Korabariet village of Kuresoi North Constituency, Nakuru County is calling for justice after their Standard Two daughter was allegedly defiled by a male adult who is known to the family.
The girl’s mother Monica Bii disclosed that she reported the matter to the police on 15th March this year and to date nothing has been done to the suspected defiler. She told the Media in Kericho today that medical reports showed the minor was defiled repeatedly and wondered what happened that has prevented the police from taking action against the suspect.
The victim, 10, is a pupil at Korabariet Primary School in the area. The suspect is said to be 57- years-old-man.
“Doctors at Kericho County Referral Hospital and those at Kuresoi Health Centre told us the girl was indeed defiled several times and I don’t know the reason why the police have not taken action against this man (suspect). I am crying for justice and I am appealing to the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet to intervene and ensure the person responsible is punished according to the law,” she said.
Bii revealed that the victim met the suspect’s daughter at a maize mill and went to her (victim) home. The victim prepared supper before proceeding to spend the night at her friend home where a day later she was defiled by the suspect in his house. She said the beastly act continue for some days.
