Residents of Narok Town have raised complaints over the issuance of Identity Cards at Masikonde Chiefs Camp.
The residents stated that the area Chief has showcased laxity in executing his duties with several people who turned out to get IDs getting turned away.
The youth complained that they have been referred several times to and fro the chief’s camp for over three months.
Twenty-five-year-old George Ndungu Kariuki stated that the chief had been corrupt in his duties. Ndungu said that he lost all his documents during clashes in Molo adding that he could not get any service due to lack of an ID.
Onesmus Onyango said he had been waiting to get an ID for over a year but all in vain. He said that there was no transparency in Narok adding that other counties had been in the front line in issuing the national document.
Irene Mukami also complained that it was tough getting an ID as the Chief kept insisting that the document will be issued on Thursdays which never turns out to be true.
According to Dr. David Sankok the CS for interior Joseph Nkaiseri should fire the said chief as he was not even present at his work place by 12:00 noon.
Sankok stated that the chief had failed in service delivery with residents as old as 25 years having not been issued with the National Document.
The Citizens now want the chief relieved of his duties.
