A 42-year-old man has been sentenced to death by a Nakuru court after being found guilty of robbery with violence.
James Mawa who appeared before Senior resident magistrate Judicastor Nthuku had been booked with seven counts of robbery with violence and handling stolen property.
He also faced another count of being in possession of ammunition and an imitation of a firearm during the robbery, charges he denied.
Mawa had been charged that on December 3, 2012 at Molo sub-county together with others not before the court armed with AK-47 using force stole a motor vehicle from Peter Koskey.
The accused who also has a pending murder case at the Nakuru high court was accused of killing Peter Koskey on the day of the robbery together with other not before court.
In delivering her judgment on the matter, Nthuku said the prosecution had proved the case beyond reasonable doubt that the accused was the one who committed the act together with others not before court.
