The National Affirmative Action Funds patron Soipan Kudate has proposed for an increase of the funds to Ksh 10 million per Sub County.
Speaking at Ololunga after issuing cheques to various groups comprising of women, youth, disabled persons and the elderly Soipan noted that the funds meant to decrease poverty are not enough.
Soipan stated that she will push for the funds to be increased as various groups have been economically empowered.
However Kudate, who is also the Narok women representative, pointed out that there was great need to have financial training and capacity building to have the funds utilized in a proper manner.
She stated that the government will not allow misuse of the funds with poverty being a major social challenge.
