The Interational Police Association (IPA)-Kenya Section has donated an assortment of personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to foster the fight against Covid-19.
Over 10,000 disposable masks, disinfectants, handwash and over 1,000 litres of alcohol based sanitizers formed part of the donation.
In a brief meeting held at the DCI boardroom, the IPA Secretary General Mr Jared Ojuok lauded the DCI for its unyielding dedication in battling crime, pledging that IPA will seek broader areas of cooperation.
IPA’s Resource Mobilizer Mr Malkit Singh Main expressed his confidence in DCI’s accountability in distributing the donated items, citing positive feedback from the officers devolved countrywide.
While receiving the aid, DCI Director George Kinoti thanked the entire IPA team alongside the Sikh community members and the IPA friends who were also present.
“Your frequent visits to this Directorate with such crucial donations sparkles our zest to serve Kenyans even more humanely. We are assured that someone appreciates what we do,” Kinoti said.
The 18-member team included Mr Sachem Chandaria of Orbit Chemicals Ltd, Mr Pareshkumar Dodhia of Orange Pharma Ltd, Mr Manminder Singh Jandu of Ole Sereni Hotel and Allied Plumbers Ltd among others.
