Irrigation PS senior adviser dies in suspected poisoning

A senior advisor to Principal Secretary, State Department of Irrigation Patrick Nduati Mwangi has died in suspected case of poisoning.

Bob Kevin Mwathe Mutava died on Friday last week.

According to impeccable sources, the deceased visited an entertainment joint in Nairobi South area in company of his friend where he started vomiting after having a few drinks.

Thereafter, he was taken home but the mother rushed him to Mariakani Cottage Hospital where he died.

Bob was seconded to the ministry under a World Bank funded project where Nduati picked him as senior advisor and his alternative Personal Assistant.

The ministry is currently undertaking massive World Bank funded project including the yet to be awarded Sh50billion Thwake Multipurpose Dam currently at the center of controversy over controversial tender.

According to well-placed sources at the ministry, apparently disturbed Nduati visited the morgue a day after Bob died to view his body.

Bob is said to have flew back into the country a few weeks ago before meeting his death and briefly reported to work.

However, in what fellow colleagues suspect could point to possible foul play, Bob started vomiting blood a few minutes a taking a few drinks in a Nairobi entertainment joint.

A few hours later, he passed on.
