The residents of Kacheliba in Pokot North have been warned over an increased sale and consumption of illegal second generation alcohol and highly toxic spirit from neighbouring country of Uganda.
The acting county commissioner of West Pokot county Mr Khalif Abdulahi has said the alcohol content in the over 20 brands of spirits packed in sachets contain 40 % alcohol content which is too high.
Abdulahi said they will tighten up surveillance to ensure that no loss of lives is reported because of the second generation in the country alcohol in the country.
