Police in Kabete have launched investigation into the gruesome murder of four men whose bodies were found inside an abandoned vehicle at Gitaru along the Kikuyu-Wangige road on Wednesday night.
According to area OCPD Joseph Ongaya, initial investigations indicated that the four who had no identification documents were killed elsewhere and their bodies bodies bundled in the Probox car registration number KBY 611W before the murders abandoned the vehicle at Gitaru.
He said that their bodies bore deep head cuts with their necks showing signs of possible strangulation adding that two of them were in the vehicle’s boot while the rest were in the back seat.
The police boss said that the incident was reported by boda boda operators who became suspicious on noting the vehicle parked at the scene for the whole of Wednesday.
‘The operators reported the matter to us after noting that the car had been parked there for too long and when they peeped through the windows they noticed the bodies’, he said adding that locals could not identify any of the victims.
He said that police only forensic examinations on the bodies would help identify the four youthful men adding that their finger prints were taken to help in the same.
